Hakuba Cortina

Hakuba Cortina is a powder paradise located at the northern end of Hakuba Valley in Otari village. Thanks to its position at the base of steep mountains directly exposed to weather systems rolling in from the Sea of Japan, Cortina consistently receives some of the heaviest snowfall in the Hakuba area. The resort is legendary among powder hounds for its steep, heavily forested terrain that collects deep, dry snow throughout the winter.

The resort's 16 courses include everything from gentle beginner slopes near the base to thrilling expert-only tree runs in the backcountry zones. The Hotel Green Plaza Hakuba sits directly at the base, offering ski-in/ski-out convenience and its own onsen facilities. Cortina connects to neighboring Hakuba Norikura, giving visitors the option to explore two resorts in a single day.
